Beijing Tourism 2007 net profit jumps 55 percent PDF Print E-mail

SHANGHAI, Jan 23 (Reuters) - Beijing Capital Tourism Co said on Wednesday that net profit attributable to shareholders in the parent company jumped 55 percent to 122.24 million yuan ($16.8 million) last year.

 

Revenue climbed 24 percent to 1.82 billion yuan, the major Beijing-based hotel and tour operator said. It cited the good performance of newly renovated hotels and better tour business in China's southern island of Hainan and elsewhere.

 

In the first nine months of last year, the company's net profit rose 44 percent to 97.31 million yuan, as revenue climbed 21 percent to 1.27 billion yuan.

 

Beijing Capital Tourism was issuing a preliminary, unaudited report on 2007 earnings. A full report will be released in coming weeks. ($1 = 7.24 yuan) (Reporting by Andrew Torchia; Editing by Valerie Lee)
